  1. BASIC INFORMATION ON DATA PROCESSING

 

  • MediStep is an online learning portal for medical students and medical professionals - hereinafter " Users". It applies exclusively to the website operated by the provider, namely medistep.org.

 

  • Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to MediStep. MedStepoffers this website, including all information, tools and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here.

 

  • The test questions about medical topics are prepared by professionals based on their own experience and research to the best of their knowledge and belief.  

 

  • These General Terms of Use apply exclusively to the use of the portal. With regard to the optional use of additional services that are subject to a fee, the Special Terms and Conditions that can be accessed here also apply, provided these are used. Deviating, conflicting or supplementary conditions of the user do not apply.

 

 

  1. REGISTRATION / ACCESS TO THE PORTAL

 

  • Successful registration is a prerequisite for using the portal. To do this, the user must register by selecting his e-mail address as the access name and a password himself, as well as providing a few personal data that are required to operate the portal. This data is stored in the user's profile. A valid e-mail address must be provided as a contact option and kept up to date for the duration of the registration, which ensures communication between MediStep and the user (e.g. for password queries, etc.).

 

  • Only the person who has registered for the portal is entitled to use the corresponding profile. Use by several people is not permitted. The user assures us that the data provided during registration is complete and true.

 

  • With the application for registration, the user declares his consent to the validity of these general terms of use and the data protection declaration. Subject to a check of the data provided, receipt of the registration request will be confirmed to the email address provided by the user. The user is then free to complete the registration process within 30 days by clicking on the activation link.There is no entitlement to confirmation of registration by MediStep or access to the portal.

 

  • MediStep is entitled to exclude users from further access to the portal and to prevent use in the event of a suspected or proven violation of these General Terms of Use.

 

  • By registering, the user agrees to receive occasional emails from MediStep. The termination of these emails can be objected to after registration.

 

  1. COMPENSATION

 

  • The user does not owe any remuneration for the use of the portal.

 

  • Any optional additional services that are subject to a fee are explicitly designated as such and are to be remunerated according to the current price list of MediStep. In this regard, the Special Terms and Conditions that can be called up here apply, which the user must take note of before using the additional services and with the validity of which he must declare his consent.

 

  • The individualized advertising will be placed within the user profile.

 

 

  1. OBLIGATIONS OF THE USER

 

  • Use of the portal is only permitted in compliance with the statutory provisions and the provisions of these General Terms of Use. The user is solely responsible for the content of his registration and for all information that he provides about himself. He assures that he will only provide truthful and complete information.

 

  • No content may be offered, distributed, made accessible and/or linked by links on the portal by the user that violates applicable law or these Terms of Use. The user is obliged to treat messages or other content that he receives from third parties in connection with the use of the portal confidentially and not to make them accessible to third parties without the consent of their originator.

 

  • The user undertakes not to use the portal in an abusive manner.

 

  • In the event of a violation of the aforementioned provisions, morality or the rights of third parties, the user is liable to MediStep for compensation for all resulting damage if he is at fault. The user hereby fully indemnifies MediStep internally from any third-party claims resulting from violations.

 

  • In the event of any violation of the aforementioned provisions determined by MediStep, the portal is entitled to immediately exclude the user from using the portal and to permanently delete the data he has entered.

 

  1. LOG OUT AND CANCELLATION

 

Every user is entitled to log out of the portal at any time without giving a reason. Cancellations can be made directly via a function within the portal or by email to info@medistep.com. Any cancellation is considered an immediate termination of registration.

Upon receipt of the user's request to unsubscribe, the portal is entitled to irrevocably and permanently delete all data posted by the user.

 

  1. PORTAL OPERATION

 

  • MediStep is entitled to discontinue or rearrange the portal or to change it in any other way at any time, provided that the change or deviation is reasonable for the user, taking the interests of portal into account. For technical reasons, there may be time and/or content restrictions on the availability of the portal or individual functionalities at any time. There is no right to constant or trouble-free access to the portal or to uninterrupted usability or accessibility. This applies in particular if access to the portal is caused by disruptions for which MediStep is not responsible.

 

  • The temporary interruptions to operations due to normal maintenance work, disruptions at third-party providers or network operators are possible at any time. Users are not entitled to uninterrupted availability of the portal at all times.

 

  1. RIGHTS

All rights to the portal and the associated content, design, technology or markings are exclusively owned by MediStep. All of the user's own uses are not permitted without the prior written consent of MediStep. Downloading content from the portal is prohibited. Further publication, reproduction or any other use of content by the user is also prohibited.

 

  1. DISCLAIMER

 

The content and products represented on this site are for information purposes only. Readers, customers and clients are advised to use their own diligence when making studying decisions, and all implied information, products and services that have been provided should be independently verified by you via other reliable sources such as (local guidelines, certified sources and textbooks).   1. CHANGES IN THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

  • MediStep is entitled to change these terms of use at any time. The user will be informed immediately about such changes.
  • If the user does not object to the changes within four weeks after they were displayed, the changes are deemed to have been accepted. The user will be informed of this fact when the changes are announced.
  • In the event that the user does not agree to the changes, he or portal can immediately stop using the portal.
